The hearing was held for Members to listen to the concerns of representatives from the livestock, poultry, and processing sectors as they continue their work on the next Farm Bill.

The House Agriculture Subcommittee on Forestry held a hearing titled "To Review the National Forest System: Supporting Forest Health and Confronting the Wildfire Crisis." Mr. Randy Moore, Chief, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington, D.C., offered testimony and answered questions. Congressman Kelly discussed the use of mass timber in rural communities. Additionally, he asked Mr. Moore about controlled burns to help prevent wildfires.
