Internships

Congressman Trent Kelly provides internships for college students each semester and during the summer. Applicants must have completed their sophomore year of college. Interns will work with staff members to learn the legislative process, assist with daily tasks, attend training, perform administrative duties, and aid in constituent services in an educational capacity.

Application deadlines:

Spring Semester: Rolling Deadline
Summer Semester: January 15
Fall Semester: Rolling Deadline

* The preferred deadline for applications for the Spring Internship and Fall Internship is October 1st and June 31st, respectively. However, the office accepts applications past the deadline. For Summer internships, there is no rolling deadline. Applications should be submitted by January 15th.

Spring Semester 2025: January 8th - May 5th
Summer Session 2025: May 12th - August 8th
Fall Session 2025: August 11th - November 21st
Spring Semester 2026: January 12th - May 11th
