Kelly Announces New Communications Director

TUPELO, Miss. - Representative Trent Kelly (R-Miss.) today announced Susan Parker as his new communications director.  Parker, a native of Columbus, Miss., attended the Mississippi University for Women where she studied journalism.  Prior to working for Kelly, Parker was a reporter with WTVA Television for 24 years.  She has won numerous awards from the Associated Press for writing and photography, including the Howard Lett Newsperson of the Year award in 2010.                                           

“Susan possesses many years of journalism experience across multiple news sources,” Kelly said.  “Her knowledge of and dedication to the First District make her a strong addition to our team.  She is an excellent communicator and I am certain that she will do an outstanding job in this role.”

Parker replaces Eliza Jones Swisher who has relocated to Oklahoma.

Representative Trent Kelly represents Mississippi’s First Congressional District. He serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Small Business Committee.  This is his first term.
