Congressman Kelly Announces Service Academy Appointment

WASHINGTON - U.S. Representative Trent Kelly (R-Miss.) is pleased to announce the appointment of Morgan Mitchell to the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA). In 2020, Morgan graduated from Amory High School with a 4.0 GPA. She participated in numerous extracurricular activities while serving her community as a volunteer. Morgan is also an outstanding, award-winning athlete. She is looking forward to attending the USMMA. Her achievements include induction into the National Honors Society, the Dean's list (2020), Daily Journal Player of the Year (2020), and All-State Player (2020). Morgan's volunteer work includes working in the Amory Food Pantry, and serving as a camp coach at the Amory High School Soccer Camp. "I'm nervous and excited," Morgan said. "This is a great opportunity to serve my country." Morgan is the daughter of Mark and Lindsay Mitchell. ### |
