WASHINGTON - Congressman Trent Kelly (R-Miss.) congratulates a First Congressional District business for receiving the HIRE Vets Medium Gold Medallion Award.

"I am pleased to announce that JESCO, Inc., located at 2020 McCullough Boulevard, Tupelo, Mississippi, has been awarded the HIRE Vets Medial Gold Medallion Award," Rep. Kelly said. "Veterans who have distinguished themselves in service to America should have the support they need to provide for their families. JESCO, Inc., has demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of of life for our Veterans."

The program was established by the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017 (HIRE Vets Act). The HIRE Vets Medallion recognizes employers who make it a top priority to recruit, employ, and retain Veterans.

In order to be awarded the 2020 HIRE Vets Medium Gold Medallion, businesses must have:

• Not less than 7% of employees hired, or
• Not less than 75% of Vets hired retained for 12 months, and 
• At least 7% of employees are Vets
