AUGUST 26, 2016 Dear Friend, I am honored to continue the tradition of hosting Academy Day for those interested in serving our country as an officer in the United States Armed Forces. Military service is commitment and a long-standing one for so many families across this great nation. It was important to our family as well. My father and brother both served in the Mississippi Army National Guard. My own service spans 30 years. I am honored to have the opportunity to fight for our freedoms every time I put on the uniform. I hope many of the young adults in northern Mississippi will take this opportunity to learn about America's five prestigious military academies. Academy Day 2016 will be held Saturday, October 15th on the Mississippi University for Women campus. Service Academy and ROTC representatives will be on hand to answer questions. This session is open for all students, parents, counselors and educators. No RSVP is necessary.
